What is the Programme About?
The Master of Arts in Online Communication is a collaborative programme between Ghana Communication Technology University (GCTU) and Anhalt University of Applied Sciences in Germany. It is supported in all non-academic and administrative matters by the state-recognized German non-profit organization DCG Halle gGmbH.
The digital transformation of markets began in the new millennium and continues through initiatives such as Germany’s “Industry 4.0”. Online Communication is a quality German Master’s degree that focuses on developing graduates capable of navigating companies through the opportunities and challenges of digital corporate communication, while supporting innovation and modern business models.

Objective
Online communication presents companies with ever-evolving challenges. Customers and stakeholders interact through networked channels and expect modern organizations to communicate effectively and authentically. In this master’s programme, students gain both theoretical and practical expertise in online communication, complementing their undergraduate studies.
The programme equips graduates for management and consulting roles, coordination of service providers, and leadership in communication-related projects across diverse industries.
Aim
The aim of the Online Communication programme is to qualify graduates with advanced interdisciplinary scientific methods to identify, analyze, and solve communication problems. Students acquire both theoretical and practical knowledge and develop strategies for effective online communication across business contexts.
During the project-based study, students apply their acquired knowledge in practice through two major, consecutive projects conducted in close collaboration with industry partners or based on real-world cases.

Admission Requirements
Applicants must hold a good first degree with at least a Second-Class Lower Division in any discipline from a recognized university. A minimum of one year of post-qualification working experience will be an added advantage.
