The MSc Forensic Accounting is designed to train professionals to apply their expertise in litigation support, investigation, and dispute resolution. Graduates will also acquire the skills to protect systems, networks, and data from cyber threats, ensuring the security of sensitive information. The programme equips students to scientifically analyse and resolve financial crimes and related challenges across government, private sector, and SMEs, while building the theoretical foundation necessary for further academic research.

At the end of this programme, students will be able to:
- Perform forensic and cyber research to trace funds and identify assets for recovery.
- Conduct forensic and cyber analysis of financial data.
- Prepare forensic and cyber accounting reports from financial findings.
- Compile analytical data for litigation and testify when required.
- Protect information, preserve system integrity, manage risk, and support organizations in recovering from cyber-attacks.

- A good first degree with at least a 2nd Class Lower in Accounting, Finance, or related fields (BBA Accounting, BSc Accounting & Finance, BCom, ICA-Ghana, ACCA-UK, CIMA-UK, CITLFA, etc.).
- Applicants with a 3rd Class degree and relevant work experience may be considered, subject to passing a selection exam and interview.
- Applicants without an Accounting background must complete a one-semester Department Foundation Programme before entry.

- Full exemptions – no papers required at lower levels.
- Direct entry to Chartered Level with full membership.
Chartered Institute of Financial and Investment Analysts (CIFIAG), Ghana
- Exemptions granted – only one paper required at the Chartered Level.
- Submission of a 30+ page research project on an approved topic.
- Successful graduates awarded Chartered Financial and Investment Analyst designation with full membership.
